I'm sitting here on the computer, it's getting late and I really should be going to bed, but of course, I'm spending too much time on Facebook. Jason jokes that catching up on my games has become a job for me. In a way he's right. I do my "job" teaching piano and my important "job" of taking care of my family, and then I spend quiet time and down time on the computer. What am I thinking??
So, speaking of family, I thought I'd write a couple of funny things that the kids have said or done lately.
Jarem has decided that he wants to be a firefighter when he grows up. In Primary this month they are talking about missionaries. I'm not normally in there, but I have helped out for the past 2 weeks. Last week the primary chorister asked who would like to be a missionary when they grow up. So Jarem, my adorable almost 4 year old Sunbeam jumps up and yells "I don't WANT to be a missionary, I want to be a FIREFIGHTER!!!" Everyone laughed, in fact a brother sitting near me laughed for 5 minutes and chuckled every time he looked at me. I about died! At least now I know why everyone in Primary knows who Jarem is!
Alexa is developing quite the personality. She teases Jarem and actually tries to get a rise out of him. I can't wait to see what's about to come in the next year or so (do you detect the sarcasm there?) Tonight, while I was still eating dinner (everyone finishes well before I do), Lexi found Jarem's foam sword and came at me with it; giggling and yelling "aaaaaa"!! It was cute. She even dropped the sword, picked it up and tried to stab me with it. She definitely watches her brother!
Another funny thing that Jarem did tonight was that I was singing nonsense songs (something I and my family do quite often), and he asked me to read the comics to him. I was cleaning up dinner (yes, I had finally finished), so I said no. He SANG back to me "Pleeeaaaase?" I guess my family is rubbing off on him!
I love family and I love my kids. That is just a small taste of the fun we have daily!

I know what you mean! My way to 'relax' is when I can do stuff in my blog... crazy I know. Jarem and Lexi are fun! Hey at least he is honest:) What a fun way to talk to your children, I should try that singing method. Thanks for sharing this!
I love you and I love the kids. I'm so glad that you wrote some of the cute things they do. I love being a gramma.
