Our Vacation to Keystone, CO & Moab, UT

We took a family vacation from Monday, August 11 to Sunday, August 17. The first 5 days were spent in Keystone, Colorado at Bill and Sharon Bouck's condo. Sharon is Jason's mom's cousin, and they were so kind to let us use it!

We had a blast. The kids got to participate in a children's day at the ski resort on Tuesday. The Denver Zoo came with some animals for the kids to see, then they had free pizza and balloon animals! It was fun!

The next day, Wednesday, we drove up to the Continental Divide and then went to Georgetown where we took a train ride. That was fun, but it was cold!

Thursday we went to Breckenridge, which we loved! There was a rock slide by the visitor's center, which Jarem played on at three different times! We also took a mine tour and got to pan for gold. We only found 2 small slivers, but at least we found some!

On Friday we drove to Moab, where we stayed until Sunday. Saturday was a day spent at Arches National Monument. It was so nice! Jarem walked on every "hike" (or trail) that we went on! He did amazingly well. They both loved being outside and playing in the dirt (which there is obviously a lot of)! I think our favorite place was at Sand Dune Arch, which we had heard is perfect for kids. We had heard correctly! There is a ton of soft, cool sand, and the temperature in near the arch was perfect! Jarem and Lexi got really sandy, but they both had so much fun, that it was worth it!

Sunday, after church, we stopped at Dead Horse Point. The view is beautiful! I wish we could have seen Canyon Lands, but all good trips have to end sometime, and we needed to get home.

All in all, we had a wonderful time. I wonder what we'll do next year!
